Public feedback invited on east waterfront development plan May 15   Beach Mirror May 9, 2014 A public meeting aimed at giving people the chance to provide feedback on the development of the Cousins Quay Precinct Plan in the port lands is set to take place Thursday, May 15 in Leslieville. Hosted by Waterfront Toronto, in collaboration with the City of Toronto and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, the gathering will be held at Morse Street Junior public School, 180 Carlaw Ave., just south of Queen Street East. People are welcome to drop in and view displays from 6 to 6:30 p.m. A presentation and facilitated discussion will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Cousins Quay Precinct Plan is being created to establish design and development objectives, local street patterns, block structure, linkages between local parks and open spaces, and built form controls. One of four initiatives currently underway in the port lands, it also aims to identify other needs to ensure revitalization and high-quality development in the Cousins Quay Precinct. The Cousins Quay Precinct Plan is designed to complement and be coordinated with the Don Mouth Naturalization and Port Lands Flood Protection Environmental Assessment (EA), the Lower Don Lands Master Plan EA Study and the Port Lands Planning Framework.
