Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine is a Toronto Acupuncture School that offers students comprehensive education with a firm foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Compliant with the criteria set out by the major North American regulatory bodies, the Eight Branches curriculum is taught by an expert faculty and meets the highest standards in the field of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our commitment to graduate success is reflected by our graduates having outperformed their peers on National Regulatory Board Examinations. In addition, we offer our students extensive internship opportunities, mentorship and support after graduation. Eight Branches is the only Acupuncture School in Toronto that includes advanced training in acupuncture, moxibustion, herbology and western medicine. Voice for Life is a charitable, non-profit volunteer organization that promotes a respect and love for all human life from conception to natural death, through education. It serves the Simcoe and District area, encompassing parts of Norfolk and Haldimand counties.
St. Bernadette’s Family Resource Centreinitiated a day program called St. Jude’s Academy of the Arts, on December 8, 1997. Creation of this program was initiated due to the lack of day programs that are available to adults who are developmentally and/or physically challenged in the community. The Academy focuses on the arts, the development of life skills and aims to provide its clients with a unique creative learning environment.
What a fantastic year 2016 proved to be! STEM Camp grew again this year to a total of 28 locations and over 4400 campers – experiencing an increase by over 2, 000 campers from the previous summer! Thanks to all our supporters who help in making this happen. The STEM Camp mission is to inspire youth through participating in hands-on activities in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Our philosophy is that children learn while they have fun and if they have fun while learning we have a chance to bridge the gap between students and the real world. Through summer camp educational experiences, we prepare them for a world where most of the employment will be in STEM-related career opportunities. What sets us apart from other science and engineering camps? At STEM Camp, we consult with and utilize experts who KNOW the subject matter that relates to our activities. Guests such as astronomers, scientists, engineers, computer experts and athletes visit STEM Camp to work with the counsellors and campers, share their knowledge and create a fun environment for learning based on real world experiences. Campers get the right answers from qualified professionals who open their eyes to the subject matter and inspire them at the same time!
