Essential Physiotherapy and Wellness opened in 2004 with the focus being on Women's Health. It has since grown into a full service clinic which still maintains a division dedicated to Pelvic Health. Sherri Moore is a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist who originally co-owned the clinic until she became sole proprietor in 2011. She has worked in many health care environments but had a dream of opening a private, locally owned and operated physiotherapy clinic in the town she calls home, Brantford. In 2012, Sherri's husband Rob McCall purchased 97 Brant Ave to house the clinic and offer a granny suite for Sherri's mom who moved down from North Bay. More room was needed for their expanding clientele and staff. The former Ged's Restaurant was built in 1890 for John Nobles Family. Sherri and her husband are very proud of their grand historical building and the stories it holds from being a family home, to an art studio, a hydro building, restaurant to rehabilitation clinic. We always welcome the public to come in and have a peek as the building still maintains some of the original features like the marble fireplace and stained glass. In 2017 Sherri opened a new division dedicated to women's health in relation to pregnancy. This division was opened after seeing a need for women's health and having a passion and specialty for childbirth care. This new division of Essential Physiotherapy and Wellness is Birth Essentials. Birth Essentials educates and treats women for the best experience during and after pregnancy.
