All of you who ride in the east end of Toronto and have experienced the Dundas East bike lane coming to a sudden end at Kingston Road, please come and celebrate the solution, the installation of a 3-block contraflow lane on Dixon Avenue. Cycle Toronto’s Ward 32 Spokes successfully engaged with local residents, Councillor Mary-Margaret McMahon and City staff to advocate for this 3-block installation to allow cyclists to travel on one-way Dixon Avenue both eastbound and westbound into and out of the Beaches Triangle neighbourhood without having to travel on busy Kingston Road. This celebration will be hosted by the Beaches Triangle Residents Association, the local cycle shop – Cycle Solutions, Ward 32 Spokes, and 51 Division. There will be cycle skills activities for kids and repairs offered by Cycle Solutions, Cycle Toronto Ward 32 members will be there to talk about cycling, and BTRA members with events and activities celebrate the positive impact this will have on the neighbourhood.
