CAMHS is a not for profit organization located in the geographical area of Haldimand and Norfolk Counties in Ontario’s “South Coast” on the north shore of Lake Erie in Southwestern Ontario. We are a multi-site health care community agency funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care through the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network responding to individuals who have mental health or addictions concerns. Our Mental Health Program is for those 16 years of age and older. Our Addiction Program responds to those of all ages. And we have a very strong and active Peer Support Program. The CAMHS staff is made up of individuals from various health care backgrounds with a variety of skill sets. We have access to the support of both psychiatrists and geriatricians in order to address the needs of the individual. Additionally, CAMHS partners with various community agencies to offer certain therapeutic interactions, including access to a Nurse Practitioner.
